Aluminium Sheet

Lightweight, corrosion-resistant and highly workable aluminium sheet in coil, slit coil and plate form.

Aluminium sheet is one of industry’s indispensable flat products, owing to its low density, the high corrosion resistance provided by its natural oxide layer, and its ease of forming. Being roughly three times lighter than steel, it reduces transport costs and offers a decisive advantage wherever weight is critical. At Atakaş Demir Çelik we supply aluminium sheet in coil, slit coil and plate form in the common alloys — primarily 1050, 3003 and 5754. Alongside plain-surface products, we also meet requirements for chequered (tread plate) aluminium sheet.

Alloy selection drives the application: 1050 stands out in insulation and decorative cladding thanks to its high purity and excellent formability, 3003 suits bodies and panels that need more strength through its manganese content, and 5754 is preferred for boats and trailers where resistance to seawater matters, thanks to its magnesium. Because temper designation (H14, H22, H24 and similar) directly affects bend radius, we review part geometry with you before the order. Plates can be delivered with protective film against scratching, while coils and slit coils ship on interleaved wooden pallets for damage-free transport.

In aluminium, prices are formed over the LME quotation plus alloy premium, so quotations have short validity. Sharing your alloy, temper and surface expectation up front means the right item is quoted in one pass. For applications you are unsure about, we recommend running a bend trial on a sample plate.

Frequently asked questions

Which alloy should I choose?
1050 for forming-intensive work where corrosion is not critical, 3003 for bodies needing moderate strength, and 5754 for marine environments and higher-strength applications.
Does aluminium sheet rust?
It does not rust, thanks to the oxide layer that forms naturally on the surface; in salty and acidic environments the finish can dull, and 5754 or an anodised surface is recommended.
How is the weight calculated?
Aluminium density is taken as 2.70 g/cm³. Select aluminium as the material in our calculator and the result for your plate, coil or slit dimensions appears instantly.
