Billet is a square-section semi-finished steel product manufactured by continuous casting. In rolling mills it serves as the raw material for long products such as ribbed rebar, wire rod, sections and flat bar. Because the accuracy of the chemical composition and the internal cleanliness directly determine the quality of the finished product, reliability is essential in billet supply. At Atakaş Demir Çelik, backed by our long-established supplier network, we supply steel billet in common grades including 3SP/5SP and in standard sections from 100x100 to 150x150 mm, for both the domestic market and export.
In billet supply, quality hides in details you cannot see: surface cracks, corner tears and internal segregation emerge during rolling and cause losses in the final product. For this reason, alongside the chemical analysis certificate, cast cleanliness and dimensional accuracy should also be ordering criteria. Because carbon and manganese content determine the mechanical values of the intended end product, whether rebar or sections will be rolled should be stated from the outset. We provide heat-based traceability on both domestic and export shipments and adapt to your logistics plan with port or works delivery options.
In billet supply, the delivery term (ex-works, FOB or CFR) determines total cost. For export enquiries we prepare the quotation by evaluating loading port, lot size and payment terms together, and issue the shipping documents in full. The time to enter the production programme varies with lot size, section and grade combination, so for planned purchases we recommend sharing a forecast of at least four weeks.
