ERW welded industrial pipe — a wide range of diameters and wall thicknesses for water, air and mechanical applications.
Industrial pipe is a circular-section steel pipe produced by cold forming steel strip and joining it with high-frequency (ERW) welding. It has a wide field of use, from unpressurised fluid lines to mechanical manufacturing, and from furniture to plumbing applications. At Atakaş Demir Çelik we supply industrial pipe in diameters from 1/2 inch to 8 inches, in black and galvanized options and in standard 6-metre lengths. On request we provide cutting, delivery suitable for threading, and project-based packaging solutions.
In industrial pipe, wall thickness determines the application as much as diameter: flow section and pressure come first in plumbing lines, while torsional and bending strength matter in mechanical fabrication. If threaded connections will be made, suitability of the wall for thread cutting is ensured by correctly selecting the EN 10255 class (light, medium or heavy series). The ERW weld seam is more economical than seamless pipe and is entirely adequate in this range; the seam should be kept close to the neutral axis during bending. On galvanized pipe, protecting the cut ends eliminates the point where corrosion most often starts.
In plumbing projects, compatibility of fittings matters as much as the choice of diameter and series. Send your requirement with a line diagram or bill of materials and we will break the pipe items down by metre and piece for a clear quotation. On galvanized pipe we pack with end caps and spacer blocks so that cut ends stay protected and the material is not knocked in transit.
