Economical parallel-flange IPE sections — high efficiency and low weight in beam applications.
IPE sections are modern I-shaped structural steel profiles with parallel inner and outer flange surfaces and a slimmer web. Being lighter than an IPN of the same depth, they improve the load capacity to weight ratio and simplify connection details. These qualities make them the first choice as beam members in steel building projects. At Atakaş Demir Çelik we supply IPE sections in all common sizes from 80 to 600, in S235JR–S355JR grades and with an EN 10204 3.1 certificate.
IPE offers the highest bending capacity per unit weight in beam applications, which is why one of the most practical ways to optimise steel frame cost is the combination of HEA/HEB columns with IPE beams. The parallel flange face simplifies end-plate and bolt details, shortening erection time on site. Over long spans, correctly positioning purlins and bracing against lateral-torsional buckling is often a more economical answer than increasing the section. We complete cutting, drilling and marking to the requested length list before dispatch, reducing labour loss on site.
Our quotations list section, grade and length item by item, so nothing is left ambiguous when you compare offers. Where a project uses several sections, we consolidate them into a single shipment to reduce transport cost. On long-running projects we set up a periodic delivery schedule and send an item-by-item confirmation before each shipment, so your site storage area is not tied up unnecessarily.
