Ribbed reinforcing bar is the fundamental reinforcement steel that carries the tensile strength of reinforced concrete structures, achieving maximum bond with the concrete through the ribs on its surface. Under the seismic code in force in Türkiye, the B420C and B500C grades guarantee structural safety with their high ductility values. In seismic regions it is not only yield strength that matters but ductility: the high elongation capacity of class C reinforcement directly improves the energy absorption of the structure. For this reason, classes other than B420C and B500C should not be used in the load-bearing system. We deliver bars in bundles labelled with diameter and heat number, together with the mill test certificate, and schedule staged deliveries to match your formwork programme.
